If you or someone you know has a criminal record that is keeping them from being employable, an expungement could erase the record. If you or someone you know has been convicted of a Felony in Oregon, that conviction may also affect the persons ability to bear arms, vote, hold office, or even sit on a jury. In Oregon a person may be able to apply for a motion to set aside conviction in as little as 3 years from the date of conviction depending on the circumstances of the crime or prior convictions. Unfortunately there are a few crimes out there that cannot be expunged, but most can. An order setting aside conviction is immeasurable in that it can reieve the burdens that had been thrust upon you or the person you know as a result of the conviction. Please call my office and I will see what I can do about getting you back on your feet.
